Overview
Loop's Z Series fly rods are versatile sticks, designed to perform well in every scenario with a combination of power, performance, and durability. Made with a high-modulus nano graphene carbon fiber, the Z Series has a medium-fast action that generates high line speed for long, accurate casts while maintaining the sensitivity needed for delicate presentations.
Redefined Control
Powered by nano-graphene carbon fibre, each Z Series blank is reinforced at the molecular level - resulting in increased strength, smoother action and heightened sensitivity.

Find the Right Rod for You
Learn more about how to pick the right rod for the water you fish most often
A 4wt is ideal if you regularly fish creeks and small to medium-sized rivers.
Techniques:
Perfect for delicately presenting dry flies on smaller water, fishing a dry-dropper setup, and turning over light nymph rigs and small streamers
Conditions:
The Z1 4wt excels in calm conditions at short to medium distance but can cut through light winds.
Species:
Trout, bass, panfish
A 9' 5wt is often considered the best all-around fly rod for freshwater fishing. It's not too much rod for most creeks, and handles larger fish on most freestone and tailwater rivers with ease. A 5wt is often our go-to rod for high alpine lake fishing.
Techniques:
Present dry flies and dry-droppers at longer distances, fish tandem nymph rigs under an indicator. Add a sinking leader to quickly switch to small and medium-sized streamers.
Conditions:
The Z1 5wt has the power to cast accurately at longer distances, helping you reach the opposite bank of wider bodies of water and to cut through wind when it kicks up.
Species:
Trout, bass, panfish
A 6wt fly rod is the ultimate versatile tool for larger trout, bass, and windy conditions. It offers more power than a 5wt for throwing streamers, nymph rigs, and big dry flies, and for covering more water on larger rivers.
Techniques:
Deliver large dry flies at long distance, throw heavy nymph rigs with split shot, and cast larger streamers. You’ll also be able to fish large poppers for smallmouth and have the option to use this rod for making delicate presentations to bonefish on the flats.
Conditions:
A 6wt will cut through high winds far more effectively than lighter rods and allow you to cover more water on larger streams and lakes. The ZX has a few inches of extra reach for better mending capabilities and better management of heavy streamer or nymph rigs.
Species:
Trout, Bass, Carp, Bonefish
