Designed by Nick Blanco, the Heisenberg is a baitfish pattern that combines an articulated body, soft hackle, barred rubber legs, and a flashy head into a compact profile, making it a useful option when you want to downsize your streamer without giving up action.

Work it along an undercut bank with short strips and pauses, swing it through seams, or fish it on a dead drift with an occasional twitch. Give it room to move and vary the retrieve until the fish tell you what’s working.

Color Selection

Cowboy: A good starting point when you’re after the mottled look of sculpins and other bottom-dwelling baitfish.

Black: A useful starting point in low light or stained water, when a dark silhouette can help fish pick out the fly. Keep one handy for early morning, late evening, overcast days, and off-color water.
