About Us:
Yakoda Supply is based in Louisville. We make simple, well-designed products for the outdoors, with a focus on fly fishing. Yakoda is a small but fast-growing company.
Position Overview:
This position is based at our headquarters and requires working on-site during regular business hours (we’re open Monday–Saturday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM). Typical days include fulfilling online orders, assisting with light production and assembly, helping customers in-store, organizing and merchandising the retail space, and supporting day-to-day operations.
As a small team, everyone wears multiple hats, creating opportunities to learn and contribute across many areas of the business. This position will begin as part-time (20–30 hours per week) with opportunities for growth as both the role and company evolve. Compensation is hourly.
Job Duties:
Pick, pack, and ship online orders
Assist with light manufacturing and assembly of products including Fly Tins, Guide Laces, Tippet Holders, and Fly Selections
Package products for wholesale orders and retail displays
Help maintain an organized, clean, and well-merchandised retail space
Assist customers in-store and process transactions through Shopify POS
Respond to customer emails and phone inquiries
Must Haves:
Reliable, trustworthy, and dependable
Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Organized with excellent attention to detail
Strong communication and writing skills
Local fly fishing knowledge and experience
Previous customer service experience
Previous fulfillment, warehouse, or shipping experience
Easy-going and enjoyable to work with
Nice To Haves:
Familiarity with Yakoda and our products
Experience with Shopify POS
